This month I celebrated my blog’s first birthday in style with an amazing cake from Boutique Cake Art. Leaving the creative process up to the designer herself, Christina captured all that is Snowflakes, Palm trees & Pretzels.
Walking into the Boutique Cake Art store in Yarraville, Melbourne was like entering cake heaven. With a variety of Cakes on display, some waiting for clients to pick up and others ready to go for your last minute needs, the delicious smell made me feel like I’d just walked into Wonka land. They have 17 different cake flavour combinations to choose from including a vegan option suitable for those with egg & lactose intolerances.
My first reaction when seeing my cake was “Wow”, the cake certainly exceeded my expectations and was better than anything I could imagine. The amount of detail and thought put into the design was impressive. Christina had followed my travels on Instagram and included these in the design of the cake. Each and every pretzel showed detail and the palm leaves were hand painted onto edible icing. My cake was a delicious raspberry and white chocolate combination.
